We are looking for an experienced and creative

BRAND COMMUNICATION MANAGER

To support the growth ambitions of Marimekko by driving the brand and sales through high level execution of the global and local marketing plan in the Scandinavian and EMEA region.  In this role you will be creating, managing, and executing the local omni-channel marketing plan. You will work closely with Marimekko´s global marketing team as well as external local PR-agencies.

This is a full-time fixed-term position (parental leave) from February to September 2025 in which you will report to Head of Market Area (Scandinavia + EMEA) and be based in Stockholm or Helsinki.

 Main responsibilities:

  • To create and plan the Scandi/EMEA omni-channel marketing plan, which includes brand, communication, PR, and community program 
  • To drive and project manage local objectives, local resources, and local marketing & communication plan within global projects & industry moments, such as 3daysofdesign and CPHFW. Collaborating closely with global marketing team  
  • To execute on the omni-channel marketing brand communication plan, ensuring that the regional specific objectives are met as well as overall brand development, target customer reach, traffic, and sales objectives
  • To manage the local Scandi + EMEA PR agencies - ensuring alignment with the Global PR strategy while driving local needs & objectives as well as Marimekko’s overall brand mission as “Premium Lifestyle brand”
  • To be co-responsible together with Scandi/EMEA ecom manager and retail manager for the local execution of the Marimekko Scandi/EMEA community program according to Global community strategy and local Scandi/EMEA targets and objectives   
  • To ensure all Scandinavian + EMEA marketing activities, incl. the omni-channel marketing plan is aligned with Marimekko’s brand vision, communicating with the defined target consumer, and driving both the long and short-term company and brand objectives 
  • To create and execute the “Annual wholesale/ Trade Marketing Plans” for Top Tier wholesale clients in alignment with the Scandi/EMEA wholesale targets, with the overall mission to build brand awareness, drive visibility and position brand in emerging markets  
  • To prioritize and drive the KEY CITY Marketing Activation Plan for Stockholm and Copenhagen as well as new key city openings in close collaboration with local and global stakeholders cross functionally within marketing & brand, communication & PR, wholesale, and retail team

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • Relevant educational background (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in Marketing, Brand Management or Communication
  • At least 5 years of experience within international marketing
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and importance to drive business in digital channels
  • A results-driven and commercial mindset
  • Excellent analytical, project management and collaboration skills and drive to perform well under pressure
  • Fluency In English, both verbal and written (fluency in Scandinavian language is a great advantage)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
