E-commerce and Web Content Associate
We are looking for an E-commerce and Web Content Associate to join our North American market team to help enhance and grow Marimekko’s digital presence by supporting the North American e-commerce team.
You will join our North American team based in New York City. This is a full-time and permanent position. You will report to our North America Market Area's eCommerce and Digital Marketing Manager to ensure a seamless omnichannel customer experience in the Marimekko online store and owned channels, building an international lifestyle brand with Finnish heritage and values.
Job responsibilities:
- Digital Product Lifecycle & Web Merchandising: Own end-to-end eCommerce product lifecycle and site merchandising execution by partnering with North America Merchandising Planner and eCommerce Team on inventory arrival and warehouse replenishment. Responsible for optimizing site navigation and product categories by using product performance analytics to inform decisions.
- Web Content Management
Website backend and frontend content management: create and execute promotional campaigns through our eCommerce & CMS platforms, Commercetools & Sanity, following the promotional calendar. Owning and implementing promo codes, and discounts, ensuring the proper scheduling of all offers, promotional messages, and site banners.
UX Optimization: optimize new and existing landing pages, PLPs, and PDPs through AB testing, apply SEO best practices, understand mobile and desktop shopper journeys, and use data-driven metrics to measure progress.
Collaborate with the UX content and Web Development teams on B2C platform and troubleshoot website frontend and backend fixes and updates.
- Email & SMS marketing campaigns and automation: Owns the planning and deployment of email marketing and SMS campaigns. Working with the eCommerce Digital Marketing Manager and Global CRM teams to drive efforts in increasing site traffic and conversion through data-driven learnings from content, segmentation, and landing pages A/B tests and reporting analytics.
- Reporting: comfortable creating weekly and monthly email marketing and campaign reports. Fluent with website performance analytics and email marketing KPIs, taking the initiative in testing and learning new ideas and tools that would continue to grow the eCommerce business and the brand’s digital presence through data-driven decisions.
- Assist in market area expansion projects in new countries and third-party online marketplaces.
To succeed in the role, you have/are:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, website content, CRM, and e-mail marketing, preferably in fashion. In-house or at an agency.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficient in Excel (essential functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) PowerPoint, Google Docs/Drive, and Microsoft One Drive.
- Comfortable navigating and managing e-commerce CMS and CRM platforms and analytics tools to monitor performance (PowerBI, Google Analytics).
- Good technical understanding of digital UX principles across devices and customer journeys. Continuously measuring tests and learning through data-collecting and providing feedback to improve site navigation and website conversions.
- Well-versed in SEO best practices, site linking, keyword and page optimizations. This role will be the main point of contact for reporting glitches and updates to the UX web team. Comfortable troubleshooting issues with developers.
- This role requires familiarity with the US market, especially in the retail and fashion industry. You must be able to voice local market trends and best practices while adapting content and product terminology to the local market.
- Passionate about omnichannel shopping journeys, email marketing trends, and customer journeys.
- Detailed-oriented, organized, and skilled in time management.
- Able to work flexible hours to accommodate calls with different time zones when needed and during peak seasons.
- Proven ability to proactively and autonomously manage projects.
- Effective at multi-tasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with local and overseas teams and local agencies and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
