We are looking for an experienced, collaborative and proactive

Studio Manager

to join our dynamic RTW & B&A Design team at Marimekko’s HQ in Helsinki.

As our Studio Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination, planning, and day-to-day operations of the RTW & B&A Design team. This hands-on role combines operational ownership, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring close partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the design process.

This is both a coordinating and team leadership role, where you will support the team’s work according to the Master Process schedule while also acting as the formal line manager for the RTW and B&A Design team members. The role ensures that the team has the structure, processes, capabilities, and support required to deliver high-quality design work efficiently and effectively.

This is a full-time and permanent position, in which you will report to the Design Director, RTW and B&A, and Chief Creative Officer.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the people leadership and development of Marimekko’s Design RTW and B&A team
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Own and coordinate team’s calendar(s)
  • Drive continuous improvement across design processes and ways of working
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and alignment

In order to succeed in the role, we are looking for someone who has

  • 4+ years of experience acting as the formal people manager, preferably for a design team
  • Strong organizational skills, an eye for detail and ability to perform under pressure
  • A team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Strong experience and understanding of the fashion and design industries
