We are looking for a driven and commercially minded 

FULL STACK DEVELOPER 

to join our Digital Commerce Development and Composable Tech team within our Technology unit at Marimekko HQ in Helsinki.  

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll create scalable solutions that improve customer experience, increase conversion and improve engagement, and continuously evolve our digital commerce platform using modern technologies, AI-powered development practices, and a test-and-learn mindset. Together with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure our customer-facing experiences are scalable and technologically world-class while bringing new ideas from concept to production in a fast-paced agile environment. 

This is a full-time permanent position, in which you will report to our Head of Digital Commerce Development. 

 What are your key responsibilities in this role? 

• Be able to work on the full end-to-end process of creating great experiences – you can build solutions that truly work for customers, whether in a native app or e-commerce environment, while also developing scalable backend APIs 
• Ensure fast, scalable, and responsive commerce applications by decoupling front-end and back-end technologies 
• Use API-first principles, integrate performant third-party tools, implement microservices, work with various databases from in-memory to NoSQL to analytical, and employ real-time monitoring and analytics tools 
• Automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines 
• Conduct unit, security, and integration testing 
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and problem solving 
• Ensure rapid deployment of new features 

 What will help you succeed in this role? 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 
• At least 4 years' experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably within e-commerce, cloud engineering, or backend development 
• You have a solid understanding of what good and modern software development looks like and having a hands-on experience of composable commerce is considered an asset. 
• You have a diverse and modern skill set across various domains of digital commerce development, including proficiency in front-end (React, Next.js, TypeScript) and back-end (Node.js, Python, C#) programming languages, cloud platforms (Azure), containerization and container platform tools (Docker, Kubernetes), API development, web security practices, DevOps, version control (Git), and testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), and practical experience using AI-powered development tools (such as Claude and similar tools) as part of the development lifecycle. 
• Customer-focused mindset, dedicated to delivering seamless, intuitive, and scalable digital experiences. 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions. 
• Fluent in English. Fluent Finnish is an advantage.
